In the middle of the island there is a preserved area situated around Eidnes/Østerbotn due to the extraordinary vegetation and selections of birds. There is also a beautiful untouched white beach here. Please execute caution and use the marked paths. The beach is about a twenty minutes walk from the main road in Østerbotn.
