::: About Ingøy :::
Outermost facing the Arctic Ocean on 71° N and 24° E you find Ingøy, surrounded by unique skerries close to the northernmost lighthouse in the world, Fruholmen. Here you find one of the richest fishing grounds, especially of cod, in Norway, which is the reason why the fishing village with its remaining 25 inhabitants has survived.
Ingøy is an exotic island with a very exciting past, unique and almost untouched nature, active culture and many attractions. We also have a new shop, fishing factory, postoffice, school, church and pottery. Local people are planning new travelling projects to exploit the many possibilities of the island.
